QUALIFICATIONS AND AFFILIATIONS
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I also minored in Sociology. I obtained my Master's degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2011 and currently have a licensure as a Professional Counselor Associate in North Carolina (#A9219). I hold a certification in marriage, and pre-marital preparation through the Prepare/Enrich program (ID # 1235371). I have 8 years experience working with individuals, families, and groups dealing with relationship issues, depression, spiritual guidance, healing from the past, and other various needs.

THERAPEUTIC BACKGROUND AND CURRENT METHODS
I take an integrated approach to counseling where I incorporate psychological principles with Biblical teachings. I believe that we are all children of God and that complete individual healing can take place as an individual grows in their relationship with Christ.

I see clients that have a desire for change or growth in the area they have a need in. I work with individuals ranging from adolescents to older adulthood with experience serving family and marital related issues. My belief is that counseling is a dual procedure and will expect the client to engage in the therapeutic process. In order to reach the client's goals for therapy, I will advise work to be done both in and out of the counseling sessions. I also take an educative approach where I will adopt principles from Cognitive-Behavioral, Rational Emotive, and Emotionally Focused Marriage and Family Therapy, along with an integrative approach to bring spiritual growth into the sessions.

CONFIDENTIALITY
Information discussed during sessions are to be kept confidential as I aim to uphold the professional code of ethics. The only time I will be obligated to break our confidentiality agreement is when (1) I believe that you intend to harm yourself or another person; (2) a child, a mentally ill or elderly person has been or will be abused or neglected; (3) and on rare occasions, Professional Counselors can be ordered by a judge to release information.

LEGAL ISSUES
If you have a specific complaint about our counseling sessions, please let me know immediately. Complaints can also be filed with the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselor: PO Box 1369, Garner, NC 27529 (919-661-0820).

During the course of our sessions, it is important to note that a diagnosis code, received as a result of counseling, will be filed as a part of the individuals' permanent record.
